Controling the basics is simple. You have all the normal commanding elements expected of any control panel, such as account settings control, access to old emails, contacts lists and support ticket information. On top of this, you have information on your own personal account manager, which can be found on the control panels main overview page (seen above).
Support
Offering customers a range of supporting infrastructures is something we pride ourselves on here at Netwise Hosting.
Customers have access to an easy to use Support Ticket system, a Knowledgebase full of articles and whitepapers (more added frequently), a Downloads section for common software releases, and a Network Status page for current maintenance or downtime window reports. Your Personal Account Manager is also always at hand to offer help should you need more personal hands on support.
Billing
Your services are billed automatically, with all invoicing and payments handled through the control panel. You can log in at any time and check both your current invoices and your invoice history.
The billing section also handles Service Quotations and Mass-Payment (for those with multiple services) options for you.
Services
Keeping an eye on your services is easy. This section of the panel allows you to manage every aspect of your Server/Colocation Deployment/Backup Solution on the fly. You can find out more about these elements in the following sections of this guide.
You can also purchase new services right inside your control panel, as well as purchasing and configuring applicable service add-ons.
Remote Reboots
Long gone are the days of emailing your hosting provider to request a reboot!
Log into your control panel at any time and cycle the power on your own machine instantly, without the need to contact any of the Netwise Hosting team. You can even completely power down your server if desired, and bring it back up at a later date!
O/S Reimaging
Format your own server, with a fresh install of your operating system deployed right inside your control panel.
There is no need to contact a member of the team, simply follow the instructions within this section of the control panel, and your new operating system will be ready for use within 30 minutes. You will even receive live status updates on how your new install is going!
Data Traffic / Bandwidth Graphing
We output your bandwidth usage graphically for you, making it very easy to see how much your server has been using.
Graphs are generated for both the current and previous months, giving system administrators excellent data sets to compare and contrast when reconfiguring machines.
Reverse DNS
Control your own Reverse DNS (rDNS) entries right inside your My Netwise Hosting Control Panel.
Automatically add rDNS records to our name servers by selecting from your range of IP addresses, and entering the desired domain name. You can add and remove as many records as you desire.
Remote Reboots, Bandwidth Reporting and More...
Naturally, your Colocation Deployment will contain a number of servers, meaning you enjoy everything you see above (apart from O/S Reimaging at this time), plus some unique Colocation service controls not found with any other UK hosts.
Total Power Usage
Our system will monitor power usage across your entire deployment, issuing automated warnings should your ampage peak over its agreed limit each week.
Again, graphs and averages are generated to help visualise this data, giving it context and meaning, and helping system administrators make decisions on how to proceed with changes and alterations.
Though your Online Backup service is largely controlled and administered through the Netwise Hosting Backup software, there are certain tasks that will require access to your Backup Control Panel. This can be accessed directly through the My Netwise Hosting Control Panel for ease of use, and gives greater control over how your backup services work for you.
Simply click through to your Online Backup service under Services > My Services and click on the Control Panel tab. You can then log in with your unique Backup credentials. This is also where you download our backup software for installation on your computer(s) and/or server(s).
